IHOsPital

IHOsPital

A girl comes in to the emergency department complaining of abdominal pain. She also said she was having some burning in her throat and chest. She was 18 and likely suffering from acid reflux. She was treated with a GI cocktail, a concoction typically used to treat those with reflux. It helped...YAY...she was all fixed. She was given a prescription and sent on her way. Several hours later the squad phone rang and the report received is they are en route with an 18 year old female with abdominal they're about 5 minutes out. About 5 minutes later they arrive with the same 18 year old from earlier except now she is in her pajama's clutching a stuffed duck, SCREAMING and crying. Wow was something missed when she was there?? How could she be in this much pain....

While triaging her we asked her if she got her prescription filled...."No I didn't have a ride to the pharmacy so I couldn't." Funny how a few minutes later she told us she did manage to get to IHOP and eat eggs, bacon, and french toast!!!!!
